Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

TCM TONE is a sound-and-vibration practice system centered on state regulation. Using seven frequencies (Yin/Yang + Five Elements) and clear application methods, it helps you return to the state you need—more settled, clearer, more energized, and more stable.

No. It is designed for everyday self-regulation and wellbeing. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease. If you have medical concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

It’s for anyone who wants a simple daily practice to improve day-to-day state and stability. It also works well as a practical “toolbox” for people already doing yoga, meditation, or sound work. Beginners are welcome—start with the Beginner’s Guide and follow the steps.

No. At the beginner level, you can treat Yin/Yang as a downshift/upshift switch, and the Five Elements as directions and “state styles” (move / ignite / ground / clear / restore). Simply choose the state you need today.

Yin and Yang are derived from solar and lunar planetary-frequency systems. The Five Element frequencies come from the traditional Chinese pentatonic scale, with tuning referenced to the Zenghouyi bronze bells (over 2,400 years old).

Sonopuncture refers to applying tuning-fork vibration on specific points (acupoints / key points) to support Qi movement and help balance Yin/Yang and the Five Elements.

Choose your state → choose the frequency → practice for 1–2 minutes.”

  • First ask: Do I need to settle or activate? (Yin / Yang)
  • Then choose one Five Element frequency as your “main palette” today: Move / Ignite / Ground / Clear / Restore
  • Pair it with calm breathing (e.g., slow nasal breathing) and keep your attention on the vibration—follow it rather than forcing it.

1–2 minutes daily is ideal. Short and frequent is more sustainable—and usually more effective—than doing one long session.

  • If you want the most direct, “practice-like” entry: start with TCM tuning forks (clear points, fast feedback).
  • If you want a more immersive “space/atmosphere” approach: start with crystal singing bowls (excellent for space and groups, and also for personal sweeping guidance).

You can start with one as a trial. If you want broader coverage (settle / activate / clear / restore, etc.) and a long-term practice, a set is more complete and better value.

We provide seven hand locations where the frequencies can be applied. The metal tuning fork set also includes a booklet with seven commonly used Sonopuncture points, helping you begin daily self-practice and providing a foundation for further training.

Yes. Please follow these basic guidelines:

  • Pregnancy: avoid the abdomen and strong stimulation points
  • Heart conditions / pacemaker: avoid the chest area
  • Severe mental health conditions: use highly activating frequencies (e.g., Yang / Fire) with caution.

Sometimes a state shift can feel intense. Reduce intensity immediately: shorten the session, switch to Yin / Earth / Water, hydrate, and rest. If discomfort persists, or if you have known health risks, stop and consult a professional. You may also contact TTI for beginner-appropriate guidance.

Yes, but before you have systematic training, start with non-invasive, low-intensity methods: begin with space/ambient guidance first, then short point work. Always be clear that this is not medical care. Apply the same contraindication principles for sensitive individuals.

Yes. The frequencies sit within a harmonious pentatonic framework. You can treat the Five Elements as “modes and tonal colors” for simple phrases or soundscapes. Yin/Yang function more like state switches—useful for opening/closing, or for transitions.

Yes. If your existing instruments are tuned to 432 Hz, they will generally blend well in ensemble use and sound harmonically consistent.

Yes. The Five Element bowls are well-suited for walking and line-based guidance; Yin/Yang bowls are effective for establishing a stronger field. You can also combine this with basic spatial layout principles for clearing and stabilization. This approach is referred to as Sono Fengshui and is covered within TTI training.

Follow TTI’s three-level pathway: Personal Foundations → Professional Practitioner Training → Teacher Training. The Beginner’s Guide and the Training Levels page outline the route clearly.

Submit your country, city, and background (existing teaching experience, venue/studio, team) via the Global Network / Contact form. We will share the application pathway, certification requirements, and partnership standards.

Yes. TCM TONE will continue collaborating with Meinl Sonic Energy to expand the instrument lineup. New releases and versions will be announced on the official website.
